Oxford United and The MGroup are delighted to have teamed up for a third season, this time to support the U’s new 1893 Club.
On 26th April we announced that to celebrate our 125th anniversary, the two hospitality lounges in the South Stand will merge and move to the Quadrangle.
Members will receive new branded passes to allow access to the area and, once the final whistle has blown, all 1893 Club members, box holders and level 1 guests will have the chance to meet together in the Quadrangle to enjoy the Man of the Match presentation.
“The MGroup are strong supporters of the U’s and the previous 200 Club”. Penny Casterton, Partner at MGroup said. “We’re really excited by this improved facility which offers greater opportunity for membership and actively encourages younger supporters to be a part of the club.”
Peter Rhoades-Brown, United’s Business Development Manager said:
‘We’d like to thank MGroup for their continued support. It’s an exciting move which means that we can now offer more hospitality space to members. We’ve been speaking with supporters to find out how we can improve and, as well as continuing to offer reserved parking (one space per two memberships), we can accommodate many more guests and have reduced the pricing for younger supporters.”
Season tickets for The MGroup 1893 Club have already gone on sale and existing members will have until Friday 15th June to secure their seats. You can get yours at www.oufctickets.co.uk , in person at the club or via the ticket office on 01865 337533.
The MGroup are proud sponsors of the 1893 Club on a matchday and regular visitors will have noticed that we have now also taken up a very prominent advertising space in the North Stand on the disabled platforms.
Oxford United Corporate Sales Executive, Adam Harris:
“We would like to thank The MGroup for their continued support and are excited to build on the already fruitful relationship we share. They are great to work with as well as being experts in their field. Fans will know all about The MGroup because Steve Basham, a former United hero and one of our matchday hosts, is also working with them these days. They have taken their support to a new level this season and we look forward to seeing the partnership continue to flourish.”
Geoff Lane, former Partner at The MGroup said: “I, along with others in our business, am a lifelong supporter of Oxford United and we are delighted to continue our involvement as sponsors, which has been the case for many years.”
Peter Smith, a Partner at The MGroup, said “It is important to play an active role and invest in our local community. Our alliance with Oxford United has always been a close one.”

“Without a doubt, I recommend speaking with The MGroup. They are very knowledgeable, very understanding, have a good feel for our business and accommodate us quickly when we need help. We frequently get approaches from other accountancy firms and I tell them that we have no need to look elsewhere as everything is catered for very efficiently by Peter Smith and his team. I couldn't fault them."
Peter Mace, Managing Director, TT Concrete
“We have been working with The MGroup for over ten years and have formed an excellent working relationship where both parties enjoy the benefits of each other’s expertise. We have always found The MGroup’s staff to be professional, courteous and attentive and would not hesitate to recommend their services.”

“Fortunately, when we were ready to expand our company to the UK we were referred to The MGroup. As a North America based enterprise we had little knowledge of UK business and tax matters. The MGroup helped us with everything from compliance and payroll regulations to establishing a banking relationship. The staff members are very responsive and we continue to rely on their support as our UK operations grow.”
Laurie Diaz, V.P. Corporate Controller, Yardi Systems
“Mark has given me excellent Corporate Finance advice and support for 3 years and I would thoroughly recommend him. He is very tenacious in finding suitable companies to acquire and then good at negotiating and putting deals together, including the all important funding. He is also very innovative in finding solutions to issues arising along the way.”

“I used The MGroup for the first time to buy another Drainage Company to add services & coverage to my own. Mark and his team give a top rate service from start to end and we achieved the purchase within 5 months – good honest, knowledgeable advice from people who know their stuff.”
Paul Marshall, Unbloc
“The entire, sometimes daunting, process ran on rails from concept to completion thanks to the professionalism of The MGroup.”
Stewart Betts, Director, Houlihan & Co Ltd
“We moved to The MGroup as our business had grown from a small to medium sized one and we needed more comprehensive support on all accountancy matters and detailed support with our SAGE systems. We have been really pleased with the service we have received from The MGroup and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to other businesses looking for an all round accountancy service.”
