Our Process for Buying a Business
At The MGroup Corporate Finance we have a structured and proven approach to buying businesses.
Here’s how we can help:

Phase 1
- Conduct a fact-finding exercise to understand the business and financial performance (historic, current and future) – key drivers
- Investigate market conditions and sector activities
- Explore funding options and lending appetite via our close contacts and extensive network of financiers

Phase 2
- Undertake financial modelling and detailed financial analysis of the business
- Construct a robust Business Plan to include various financial scenarios and summaries, for presentation to financiers
- Identify suitable funding sources and solutions (dependent on timing, amount and purpose)
- Evaluate and examine funding options; cost structure and T&Cs

Phase 3
- Select and agree list of preferred funding proposals
- Arrange for NDAs (Non-Disclosure Agreement) to be in place, in order to manage information requests
- Arrange and facilitate meetings with funders ‘as and when’ required
- Negotiate deal value, cost structure and T&Cs, on your behalf

Phase 4
- Evaluate and assist with completion of selected financier’s document requirements
- Assist you and your solicitor with any security requirements; personal guarantees, debenture, property etc
- Project manage the entire process from start to finish
- Monitor future financial performance and progress on monthly/quarterly/annual basis
