We’re proud to have been recognised as a Gold ACCA Approved Employer since 2002, a status we’ve maintained for over two decades. ACCA carry out a detailed review every six years, and following their latest visit earlier this year, we’ve retained our Gold level across both offices.
This recognition reflects our long-standing commitment to trainee development, including regular mentoring, structured support for exams, and guidance to help trainees meet their practical experience requirements.
Every September, we welcome a new group of trainees to The MGroup. Whether you’re leaving school, finishing university, or simply looking to start your career in accountancy, our training programme is designed to support you, challenge you and grow with you.

Jordan Lyne, now a Partner, began his journey with The MGroup in 2014.
“I started my journey with The MGroup in 2014 on the training programme. Straight out of school after completing my A-Levels, I began studying towards my AAT qualification and later went on to complete my ACCA exams. I have learned a lot through that time and have had the pleasure of working with some great colleagues, clients and existing partners. I particularly enjoy working closely with businesses and the owners, exploring innovative strategies for growth. I became a Partner at The MGroup in August 2024.”
Fellow Partner Ollie Squire joined ten years ago, starting as an Accounts Clerk. He progressed through roles including Accounts Executive, Senior Executive, Assistant Manager and Senior Manager before becoming a Partner.
“I’ve worked with businesses across many sectors, from hospitality and manufacturing to construction and sustainable tech. One of my areas of interest is succession planning. I enjoy helping business owners navigate complex transitions and restructuring. The support I’ve received at every stage of my journey with The MGroup has made that possible.”

A Culture That Supports Growth
With offices in Oxford and Witney, over 50 team members, and four new Partners appointed in August 2024, The MGroup is a firm that combines long-term opportunity with a supportive, people-focused environment.
We offer flexible working, including hybrid and in-office options, along with dedicated study support and access to real client work. Trainees get hands-on experience early, with guidance and mentoring from a close-knit, experienced team.
But there’s more to life at The MGroup than technical training. In May 2025, a group of our team completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in support of SeeSaw Oxford, raising funds for bereavement support for children and young people. Just before that, in June 2024, several team members took on a marathon and cycling challenge to raise money for Sobell House Hospice, a cause that means a lot to our team and our clients.
We’re also proud to sponsor Oxford City Football Club, with our name on The MGroup Stadium. Whether we’re climbing mountains, cheering from the stands, or volunteering in the community, giving back is part of our culture.
