SeeSaw Charity Oxford
Since 2011 The MGroup has supported local Oxford charity SeeSaw which provides grief support to children and their families both before and after a major bereavement.
Described as ”the great little charity with the big heart”, SeeSaw depends on the generosity of individuals and organisations to support their services. One third of bereaved children can experience severe difficulties coming to terms with the death of a close family member. SeeSaw supports children at this critical time, so that they can move forward and face the future with hope. SeeSaw’s service includes tailored grief support for children, guidance and support to families, advice and training to professionals and accessible literature and resources. For more details visit their website www.seesaw.org.uk
The MGroup team have taken part in sponsored walks, Dragon Boat Racing and abseiling to find ways to show our deep appreciation and support for this fantastic charity.
“As the Director of SeeSaw I am hugely grateful to the MGroup for your continued support. Your friendly and enthusiastic staff have raised much needed funds by taking part in dragon boat racing, an abseil, sponsored walk and they have entered teams in the Oxford Half Marathon. By generously sponsoring SeeSaw’s membership of the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce you enable us to engage with other businesses in Oxfordshire”. Helen Mackinnon – Director
Annually we take part in the Oxford Half Marathon on their behalf. This year’s team comprises of eight members of staff from both the Oxford and Witney offices.
The run, covering 13.1 miles of stunning Oxford buildings and beauty spots, is on a Sunday in October every year.
